There’s No Other Witnesses, Just Us Two…

We were walking down the street together, hand and hand, just me and you. I remember how the butterflies felt in my stomach just knowing that I was touching you, that I was with you, that you were with me. Nothing can change that and nothing ever will.

The street is immaculate. I don’t remember it being so colorful, so bright. The trees are just as happy seeing us together as they speak to the wind whispering our name. The sun was radiant and so was our love. We had just said I love you for the first time last night when our lower parts touched for the first time. There’s a first for everything right? Hopefully you’ll be my last and this love will last.

Cars rushing, speeding towards our love. Others rush and long for something they can only imagine. This car is different, it’s as if it wants to take it from us. Why would anyone want to take away something so perfect? But it does. It’s tires don’t even squeal as it comes to take your place. It would have taken mine as well but you pushed me away to take the blame. I never would have put the blame on anyone. Two lovers can’t help what awaits them, even if it’s fatality. The driver had no idea where she was going when she ran into your body and took you away from me. I should have known, true love never lasts. There’s always someone out there on the sidelines ready to take it away no matter what the cost.
