It’s ok to have hope in future moments, but don’t look past the one that your one.
The caterpillar looks forward to being a butterfly, just like I look forward to being a nurse and a parent someday. But the butterfly needs that time to develop just like I need time to develop into a nurse and my child will need time to grow. Don’t miss the growing stages or the tough times because they are just as important as the ones you hope for.
Don’t miss any moment because there is breath and life in each one. We get to experience something that not even the angels get to experience.
Don’t look so far into the future or have so much hope in the future that you miss the now. There will always be something to look forward to. There will always be a “I’ll be happy if and when this happens…” But there will also always be something else. So let this be your moment and every one that comes after.
