Forgiveness

I live in a world were kindness can be extended, but forgiveness is sparse.

Expectations are high and perfection is expected.

Never be you or who you are right now, but be who they need you to be.

             So they say…

I say be.  Be who you are right now and right this second.

You may get tossed by the wind for a season.  You may get ridicule for hoping in tomorrow instead of being today.

But don’t let that stop you from being who you are and where you’re at and this very now.

Expectations are high for those that have their own expectations instead of mercy and love to see where you’re heart really is.

Let them have their moment: You’ll have yours.  With patience, kindness, and forgiveness in yourself and those that really care about you–God, friends, and loved ones–you will have your moment.  And you will shine.

So even if your bushel is under a glass at the moment, be patient as sand into a diamond as little peices of that glass is shattered one piece at a time.  Those that stay around to see your light shine are the ones worth keeping around.

Be kind to yourself.  Only expect the reality of now, forgiveness, grace, and mercy.  You’re a child of God and God did nothing in one day.  God did it all over time so that we’d have a chance to take it all in and see the Glory.

So shine when you’re ready little one.  Forgiveness is ready for you each day until then.  Don’t be afraid to fall.  Fall into the arms of those that can handle the weight of your burden.  If not, you be the one to forgive them.

So shine when you’re ready little one.  You will have your day.  Forgiveness is ready for you in the moonlight.

Be ready to shine.  And when you do, they’ll see your light, and it is then that they will understand.  It is then that they will need shades to cover their shame for not following through and believing.

Shine when you’re ready little one.  Shine when you’re ready.
