Birds are usually free to fly or they’re locked up in a cage;
it’s usually one or the other.
What about the kind that soars in the blue, able to get a glimpse of the sun,
but can’t get any higher than the trees because of the chain tied to its feet.
Its wings are free, its eyes are open, it’s able to feel every breath of wind and able to sense life that thrives around it. But the chains, the chains keep this winged creature from going any further. The chains keep it from going full flight and keep it from going its full potential.
What is this chain and who or what has the key to the lock to release the stronghold?
It is a person or a thing that creates flight for this creature, it is another person or thing that captures another part of its being keeping it from going any further.
Some say that it’s better to have love and to have lost than to have never have loved at all.
What about this winged creature?
Is it better that it experienced only partial flight? Or would it have been better to have learned how to survive completely on land…
