I create the world I want to live in,
not the one that you’ve created for me.
Yes, it takes time, strength, endurance, and faith,
but it’s worth it.
Not only will it be real and sincere,
but it will be one built on truth.
I wouldn’t have been able to imagine this world several years ago,
but it’s here now, it’s mine, it’s here to stay, and I won’t let anyone take it away from me.
Those things that I struggled with along the way: living in someone else’s world,
living up to someone else’s expectations, living in my own fears and self doubt,
only gave me leverage to pull myself up into more than what I thought I could be.
So what do I say to you: to that boy that doesn’t believe he should cry, to that girl that doesn’t believe she’s pretty enough, to that person that believes this is as good as it gets,
The devil is a liar even if it comes in the name of god.
I really can, do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me.
And unfortunate and true, that line and verse doesn’t have to include you.
Either you’re with me or against me.
Either way, I will stand and it will be when even I least expect it.
