I had an excellent 31st birthday and it started yesterday. God’s birthday gift to me was passing my CSET in full! This means that I’ll be able to student teach this spring concluding my masters and credential program by the end of June 😀 I still have another masters (masters in English) that I started in Kentucky and may continue to work on at a later time, but that’s still up in the air.
Birthday blessings continued with all the Facebook messages and text messages wishing me a wonderful birthday! They must have worked and brought good things to my day because that’s exactly what it was; it was a wonderful birthday in deed! Cassie took me to a wonderful lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe; we ate till we could eat no more and I had to go home to sleep it off! She surprised me with three books for light fun reading, dark chocolate, and the new Glee Christmas CD! Which is absolutely amazing! Especially songs #2 and #12!
That was followed up with cards from Martin, my sister, my brother-in-law, and niece. They had the kindest words in them and a little bit of mula! I’ll never say no to a little spending money 😀
Joe came home with a little surprise waiting on the bed (it was partially wrapped as Joe stated how much he does not like to wrap gifts; it was adorable!) for me after I had just gotten out of the shower. It was the wallet that I had picked out! Then I found another wrapped gift (this one was actually fully wrapped…in Spongebob gift wrap!) from Joe on the couch…it was the old fashioned straw holder that I liked so much at Michael’s 🙂 He took me to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Asian Bistro. Then I came home to yet one more surprise on my art stool! It was an art kit! It has everything from colored pencils, pastel, acrylic and oil painting, and more. My mom use to encourage me with art, now I have Joe giving me the same in encouragement. I forgot to mention the $30 gift card to the art store that was inside the wallet 😀
Of course the night ended with beautiful birthday love making and sweet kisses. Joe said I was spoiled and he is right. I’m so blessed with a wonderful family, awesome friends, and a loving boyfriend.
Thank you Jesus for a great wonderful awesome 31st birthday! This definitely makes up for last year’s birthday 🙂
Love you Jesus,
Jess
