The Race

I was running yesterday to prepare for the half marathon I’m running tomorrow.  I was going pretty slow; it almost looked as though I was jogging in place.  I was thinking that it must look kind of funny to all the cars speeding by seeing a middle age man, in decent shape, and hardly going anywhere.  Then I thought to myself, “They don’t know that I just ran so many miles, and I have several more miles to go.”  They have no idea of where I was coming from or where I was going.  With that–live your own life, at your pace, and win your own race.
