I had to throw out some flowers today that had “passed on.” As I was taking these once beautiful flowers to the garbage area, I realized that these flowers weren’t only there for me to enjoy their beauty–they also needed for me to water them. It’s the same thing with relationships: no matter what the relationship type. They’re not there for us to take advantage of and take everything we can from them. We need to water them and give just as much back. Then it will grow and last longer–just like my flower would have if I had realized this sooner.
